Even the most severely bent shafts can be straightened.
CLASS APPROVAL
We work closely with the classification
societies, and a certificate is issued individually on each repair.
Our cold straightening method contributes to responsible consumption and reduction of CO2 emmissions.
All shafts are thoroughly inspected and
tested for crack indications, before and
after straightening. All work is carried out
in close cooperation with the classification societies.
WHEN YOU THINK IT CANNOT
BE REPAIRED, THINK AGAIN
For every ton of steel produced, the average
emmission of carbon dioxide is one ton, so
why replace if repair is an option.
Even the most severely bent shafts can be
straightened. Often a better straightness
than that of a new shaft can be achieved.
The advantages of cold straightening
are plenty:
No matter where in the world the propeller or rudder damage occurs, a straightening is often the most cost effective
solution.
• It is fast and cost-effective
• It is an environmentally friendly solution
• It is fully approved by all leading
classification societies
• It is considered a permanent repair and
equivalent to a new shaft
After cold straightening, the result is equivalent to a new shaft - max. 5/100 mm
out of line.
We can straighten shafts from 20 mm up
to 1,500 mm in diameter with no limitation on the length.
